9-1/2" (24.0 cm) Hibbs Chisel is designed to scrape away and through bone to allow access to the surgical field. This chisel is designed to cleanly and effectively make cuts in bone without causing splintering and damage to surrounding areas. This instrument features a strong geometric shaped handle that tapers into a narrow neck and widens again to create a chisel head. The chisel also features a sharpened end for increased effectiveness in bone manipulation. This instrument is available in ten different sizes ranging from 6.0 mm to 38.0 mm making it well suited for use in small delicate areas as well as in larger bony areas.

Additionally the blade features a slight curvature increasing its ability to be used to strip or scrape away layers of bone and tissue. This osteotome can be used in many different neurosurgical and orthopedic type surgical interventions that require manipulation of bone. It features a slim handle and a further flattened body that ends in a chisel type point that allows for scooping or scraping of the bone for a variety of reasons including increasing access and visualization to the surgical field. This osteotome features a smooth barrel shaped handle that is easy to grip. Additionally it features a wide, flat handle end that can be struck with a hammer or mallet to drive the chisel shaped end with increased force.
