Rochester-Ochsner Forceps
Rochester-Ochsner Forceps
1×2 teeth
Rochester-Ochsner Forceps are hemostats that are helpful for clamping off blood vessels to avoid bleeding during procedures such as orthopedic surgery. In order to clamp vessels or grasp tissue, these forceps have 1×2 teeth on the tip of the serrated jaws. This “rat-tooth” can be described as one point on one end of the jaw that suits amongst two teeth on the end of the other jaw. These teeth can be functional for gripping dense tissue. Different lengths of these ring-handled forceps are presented to assist numerous cases.

Bipolar forceps are designed to control temperatures, minimize heat and current spread and reduce tissue sticking or charring while coagulating during bipolar electrosurgical procedures. They are available in a variety of styles that provide bipolar coagulating capabilities for a wide range of procedures: irrigating or non-irrigating (for flushing surgical site to improve visualization), with or without insulation (to eliminate conduction to surrounding tissues when performing deep procedures), straight or bayonet-shaped (to enhance visibility by keeping the surgeon's hand from the line of sight). standard pattern of the Allis Tissue Forceps are intended for the use of firmly grabbing or holding body tissue during surgery. Babcock Tissue Forceps – Tungsten Carbide
Tungsten carbide jaws
Babcock Tissue Forceps have jaws that are made from tungsten carbide, the hardest metal made for surgical instruments. Precision-milled serrations are formed onto the tungsten carbide inserts, resulting in pyramid-shaped teeth that provide a non-slip grip. Pyramid-shaped teeth align perfectly with each other to provide a durable and reliable grasp of the most delicate or toughest tissues, as well as needles, sutures, dressing materials and delicate vessels. Smooth tungsten carbide inserts are also available for delicate procedures. Spring tension allows for surgeons to maintain proper and consistent position, ensuring optimal grip without having to apply excess force. These forceps also feature gold-plated handles.
