Specifically the jaws of this tool are crafted to effectively grip and manipulate fine metallic forms such as needles or wires. This instrument can be used to grasp and manipulate needles in procedures that require suturing and creating needles holes. Additionally it can be used to handle wire such as when it is placed and twisted to do things such as stabilize the vertebrae after laminectomies of the spine. This instrument features tungsten carbide, serrated jaws and is available in two lengths 5″ and 7 5/8″.
